    Hi Sherri,
Good tips. I had become a little comfortable at my “B” job; and haven’t set a plan to get to my “A” job. Thank you for the reminder! Heidi_V

I decided to return to school and update my IT skills after be laid off from a job I was planning to leave. During this time I have worked seasonal jobs during Christmas and tax season to maintain and extend my network and hired a personal coach. I also volunteer and hold a leadership position with a professional IT networking group. I don’t expect a government bail out and woke up this morning with the goal to edit my plan. See you on 1/18 Sherri at your speaking engagement.

    Sherri,

That is great advice, I just recently retired from the military and during my 20 years of service I have done just about everything. My primary position was a heavy equipment transporter (truck driver) but I wanted to do something totally different once I retired, so I got my Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management. Because I did not have a lot of experience in human resources I decided to take a temp to per position as a Recruiting Coordinator. It is the first step to greater things, I am getting training in what I really want to do and making lots of contacts in the process. Your tips will definately help me reach my goal and guarnteed success in my new career.
